Lessons
It's time to start your adventure
My aim is to give my students the opportunity to experience the passion and excitement that I have for this wonderful instrument.
bEGINNERS
We all start off as beginners, so its always good to have a tutor who explains things in an easy to understand way and gives the student lot's of time to get to grips with things. A teacher with plenty of patience is key to a student enjoying their learning experience and helps them progress quicker. Why not check our guitar lesson video on open chords in our video section.
Intermediate learners
I teach lots of students who have mastered how to play a good assortment of open chords and barre chords, and want to progress further. As an Intermediate player you can progress with further chord knowledge, learn how to solo with confidence and enhance your rhythm playing.
FANCY DOING EXAMS?
WHAT EXAM SYLLABUS DO WE TEACH
Believe it or not taking exams can be fun, especially if you love learning cool songs. At Coolriffs Guitar School we use Trinity College London exam board exams, who offer a fantastic syllabus for players who would like to take graded exams but with a modern feel. At Coolriffs we teach both guitar and bass guitar syllabuses.
Trinity Rock and Pop exams are graded from Initial to grade 8, and on passing grade 6 UCAS points are awarded which students may use towards university . Trinity use guitar tablature as well as standard notation for their exams, So students don’t have to worry about reading standard notation music, putting their minds at rest.
